Season 3, Episode 31

summary written by Caroline

Calumon is stuck in a cage which seems to be heading back towards where the Sovereign is. Calumon is quite confused about this. He just can't understand how Impmon could suddenly turn on him like that. Calumon realizes that Impmon hadn't always been a good friend but he had never thought that Impmon would have joined the sides of the Sovereign so that he could digivolve.

As Calumon is thinking about this, he notices that the new area which he is now in doesn't look too pleasant. Everything is a crimson red and everywhere Calumon looks there are some horribly red spike things standing in his way. Calumon then panics and wishes that he could somehow get out. But he realizes at this time it's hopeless to even try. So he just sits down in his cage and waits to see what will happen to him next.

Meanwhile, in a desert, Jeri and the others are walking in the heat trying to find Takato, Terriermon, Henry and Calumon who had all gone missing when they had hit different data streams when they had been in their last fight.

Jeri is concerned about the whereabouts of Calumon, and asks Leomon if Calumon would be okay at this very minute. Leomon answers that he is sure that Calumon would be doing fine because if he was so important that Calumon had to be kidnapped by the Devas then chances are they would look after him well. Jeri, who normally agrees with what Leomon says, has to look for a second opinion. But when Jeri asks Rika what she thinks, Rika just gets mad and tells Jeri that she doesn't know and that Jeri should try and act like a better Tamer instead of acting so kind and weak all the time. Jeri is taken back by what Rika has said and she can't help but get a bit upset over it, but Jeri then agrees that she will try harder to please Rika and the fight slowly starts to cool down again.

Now with the fight over, they all start looking for Takato and the others again. But this search starts to depress Guilmon, who realizes for the first time that he may never see his Tamer again. Kenta then decides to talk to Guilmon about this. Even though, Kenta would never admit it, he is kind of glad that Takato isn't with them. Too him, this scene is a good chance for him to get himself a Digimon. But, sadly, when Kenta asks the question straight out, Guilmon gives him a no. Kenta then realizes that Guilmon would never leave Takato, so it wasn't worth wasting the words of asking him. But Kenta decides to try one last time, but again he gets the answer no. Kenta then tries to make Guilmon give up Takato by saying he will make him food and milkshakes everyday. But before Guilmon can even say another no to Kenta, they notice that their friends have somehow gone under ground. But before they can check the ground out for themselves, the ground also breaks under their feet and they start to fall.

When Rika, Jeri, Leomon, Renamon and Kazu land they find themselves in a new area. The place where they are now is a sort of forest which also has a huge lake right next to them.

Kazu who is still laying on the ground hears something coming from the sky. He watches in amazement as Kenta and Guilmon fall from the sky and land right on his back. This is rather painful for Kazu and he can't help but get mad. So soon, Kazu and Kenta start to have one of their famous fights again. But while they are in the middle of this latest fight they hear someone shouting from the other side of the lake. They know that they better check it out, so soon they on the other side of the lake where they meet a Digimon called Andromon. At first he doesn't notice them. He is too busy throwing a huge boulder into the lake. But after he has done this, he turns around to see the kids and their Digimon. At first, Andromon isn't too happy to see them. He first thinks that they have been sent by Orochimon who happens to be the boss of this forest. But, he soon finds out that he is mistaken when the actual Orochimon appears from under the water and starts to attack everyone in sight. Soon, it is a full on fight, but sadly, Andromon isn't has strong as he thought he was, and soon he has been defeated by Orochimon and is badly hurt. After this has happened Orochimon makes his escape by going back under the lake's surface. After he is gone, Jeri and the others take Andromon to the nearest town, which seems to be mostly a huge factory where some lizard like Digimon which are called Gekomon are making milk shakes. Jeri and the others hope to get some help from these Digimon but when a Gekomon walks up to them and sees Andromon, he is less than impressed. It seems that something had happened between the Gekomon and Andromon which makes these Gekomon not want to help him. This confuses Kenta who starts to ask about the true story to what is happening between the Gekomon and Andromon. After being asked this question, Gekomon tells his story about the horrible life he and his friends have been living lately.

Gekomon also speaks of the life where he and his buddies used to sing their lovely song (which of course wasn't all too lovely...they couldn't even sing). But that all changed, when one day the Gekomon were singing near the river when Orochimon comes out from under his water home and demanded that the Gekomon served him as slaves to make his daily milk shake feast. The poor Gekomon, who aren't too strong when it comes to fighting Digimon like Orochimon, had to give up their peaceful lives and their singing to serve the many snake headed Orochimon who cared only about his milk shakes. Straight away, the lives of the Gekomon turned into a life of hell, where they made milk shakes all day and then only got to see the sunlight when they had to swim over to Orochimon's place to give him his daily milk shakes.

After hearing this part of the story, the Tamers and their Digimon are horrified to hear this. But, Kenta still wants more answers. He just can't understand how this story has anything to do with Andromon.

Gekomon then explains that he and his friends wanted to keep the peace with Orochimon, so they did everything that he wanted. But, then, Andromon turns up and demands that he fights Orochimon for the Gekomon's freedom. The Gekomon says that he and his friends tried to stop Andromon from fighting but the stubborn Digimon would not listen, so therefore the peace with Orochimon was torn apart and with that also meant that the milk shake factory also got torn apart every time the two Digimon quarrelled.

Finally the Tamers and the Digimon understand why Gekomon doesn't want to help Andromon. But, Kazu wants Andromon to get better so he walks up to the Gekomon and tells him that Andromon just wanted to help and therefore had to have all those fights with Orochimon so there could be a better future for the Gekomon. To help Kazu with his fight, Leomon says that some Data Packets, which happen to be one of the main ingredients used in the milk shakes that the Gekomon makes. Finally, the Gekomon gives in and gives Leomon and the others some milk shakes, and says goodbye to them as they carried Andromon back to the forest where they start putting the roundish pinkish Data Packets on the arms and legs of Andromon.
But after putting these Data Packs on Andromon they get a surprise. They had all expected Andromon to stay in his Ultimate form, but it seems that the fight had been too much for him, so he turns into his Champion form which happens to be Guardromon.

The Tamers and their Digimon watch Guardromon sleep, when they hear something behind them. They turn around to see Orochimon, and to their horror, they watch helplessly as Orochimon uses one of his many snake seminations to pick Jeri up, and then he starts to swim away from the others. The others don't want to lose Jeri, so they start to run after Orochimon until they get to the edge of the river where they start to watch helplessly. But, Leomon isn't going to give up, so without waiting for the others, Leomon jumps into the river and starts to swim after the Orochimon. But, Orochimon won't let Leomon catch up, so he uses his Infernal Blast which burns Leomon a bit and forces him to turn around.

After Orochimon and Jeri are out of sight, the Tamers and their Digimon sit down and they start to discuss what they should do now.

But while they discuss this, Kazu, who stayed behind with Guardromon, who is now awake, is discussing the plan that Guardromon has to save Jeri. Kazu likes this plan, so he rounds up the others and tells them of the amazing plan that Guardromon had just created. But, the plan, may not be too easy, because apart of their plan needs help from the Gekomon. So, Guardromon leads them to where the Gekomon would be at this time of day, which would be near a hill where they start their journey to give their daily milk shakes to Orochimon. When the Tamers, their Digimon and Guardromon block their way to the river, the Gekomon are less than impressed; the leader of the Gekomon, the same Gekomon who had told the Tamers the story about what had happened to his freedom, walks up in front of the group and starts to demand what Rika and the others want. Guardromon speaks up for the Tamers and tells of how Orochimon has kidnapped one of these kind humans. At first Gekomon couldn't care less because he reckons there is nothing that he can do about it. But in the end, he decides to help because of the way how everyone is so upset about the fact that one of their friends had been kidnapped.

But the first thing that Gekomon and his friends need to know is what can they actually do to help? Guardromon then explains that the only thing that the Gekomon have to do is deliver the milk shakes like usual, but instead of having milk shakes in their huge wooden tubs, the Tamers, their Digimon and Guardromon will be inside waiting until they get to where Orochimon is, and then they shall attack Orochimon so they can get Jeri back. Gekomon agrees with this and soon the Gekomon start swimming the wooden tubs to where Orochimon is. Leomon knows that he has to get Jeri back because it was partly his fault that she got kidnapped in the first place. He knew that he hadn't been watching over her carefully enough. He had thought everything would be fine, but now he realizes that he was very wrong about that.

After Orochimon had kidnapped Jeri and taken her to his home base, which was just on the other side of the river, he decided in what he should use her for. He had needed a new salve to pour out his milk shakes into huge plates which he would then pick up and drink from. And, since, Jeri's parents own a café; he has a feeling that she could do that job well.
Knowing what is about to happen to her, Jeri decides that the best way how to escape is to do everything that Orochimon tells her to do. And then while doing her job she can make him sleepy, so then when he falls to sleep from having too many milk shakes, she can then escape.

But this plan only has one flaw in it. There are over four different heads to feed which means it could take more than a few minutes to have all these creatures sleeping peacefully. But Jeri doesn't care, she shall try her hardest to make her plan work, so with the image of her escaping in her mind, she starts to work for Orochimon.

A while later, Jeri has nearly completed her job, there is only the main head to make fall asleep. But Jeri is starting to get doubtful that the main head will sleep. He has already had like, ten gallons of milk, and to Jeri's disappointed Orochimon still looks wide awake.

That's when, Jeri hears something behind her. She turns around to see that they have company. The Gekomon are here with their daily milk shakes, but to Orochimon's shock, the Gekomon aren't alone. With them are Jeri's friends and Guardromon. And, straight away they start to attack Orochimon.

Jeri then runs up to the others and tells them that she had fed Orochimon milk shakes and that he should be too tired to fight now because of how much milk he would have drank. But to Jeri's disappointment, it seems that the leader of the Gekomon isn't too happy about this. They then find out that since the milk shakes had Data Packets in them, it means that the milk shakes would have made Orochimon more powerful than tired. After hearing this information, Jeri can't help but feel that if anyone gets hurt than it will be her fault. And, as they watch Guilmon, Renamon, and Leomon fight, Jeri gets even more worried. And, then the most horrible thing happens, Leomon destroys one of the snake heads but it comes back again. That's when they realize that to defeat Orochimon they will have to destroy the main head. But that's easily said than done. And, as the battle goes on the Digimon get more tired and Jeri starts to blame herself even more, that's when Kazu yells at her and says that he hates to agree with Rika, but she was right when she told Jeri that she was a bit of a weak Tamer and that she needed to get her act together. Kazu then continues arguing with Jeri until she gets the courage to look through her cards to see if she has any useful cards that may defeat Orochimon. And sure enough Jeri finds a Ladydevilmon card which should defeat Orochimon. She then uses her Digivice to use the card and straight away it works and gives Leomon one of Ladydevilmon's attacks which destroys Orochimon right away.

After the battle, the Gekomon decide to show their gratitude by singing their lovely song, which sounds more like burping than singing. But while they sing, Guardromon is talking to Kazu when something surprising happens. A Digivice appears and lands in Kazu's hand, and it could only mean one thing. Kazu is now a Tamer. Everyone congratulates him, well; nearly everyone....Rika is a bit disgusted that Kazu actually got a Digimon. She never thought it would ever happen to him, and then there is Kenta who is too upset to congratulate him. Because it is now official, Kenta is the only human left in the group who doesn't have a Digimon.

But then there is still someone who has just lost his partner. Guilmon wonders where Takato is, and hopes that he will see his friend again soon.

But the only bad news about Kazu getting a Digimon is that there's now one extra member of the group that could get lost.
But as the episode comes to an end, we see Takato, Henry and Terriermon swimming in some water, but why are they in there? We do not know, but hopefully they can find their way back to the others in the next episode of Digimon Tamers.

Nothing much as far as I know. D:
